Nashvegas!

November 24th, 2014

Good morning everyone,

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Nashville, TN. Scott and I stayed in Maggie Valley, NC yesterday and visited a museum called "Wheels Through Time" which was an incredible display of American history. The owner Dale took the time to come speak with us about his motorcycles, automobiles, etc. Everything in his place runs (which he proved to people) and is American made. He has been a collector for about 46 years and his museum has been open for about 12 years. There were all different collections such as military motorcycles and uniforms, old Cadillac and  Corvette vehicles, planes, and much more. If anyone is ever in western North Carolina this stop is definitely worth while to see!

We arrived in Nashville around 6pm last night, had some left over dinner in the RV then took a shuttle from the Two Rivers Campground into downtown Nashville (only $5 to take the shuttle one way). Scott and I had a lot of fun listening to the live bands, dancing and drinking. There were so many live bands everywhere and no cover charge- it was a blast! We bought a CD from a local band that we watched. A doorman taught me how to dance 'country style' which Scott and I attempted to do on the dance floor a bit however we were somewhat out of our league with the local country folk line dancing and twirling each other around. It was great to see everyone having so much fun and I have a lot of respect for the talent and enthusiasm that the bands showed last night.

We took hot showers this morning and are going to have hard boiled eggs for breakfast (quick and easy clean up which is nice for RV living). We are having a great time on our road trip and plan on exploring this area for a few more hours then continuing our journey West. Over the next few days we will cruise through Kentucky (land between the lakes), Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas (because Scott has only a few more states to visit before he completes seeing all the states).

Until next time,

Heidi & Scott
